Bin Vent / Dust Collector

EPA Compliance – Eliminate Nuisance Dust – Vent Pneumatic Conveyors

Why Dust Collection is Critical:

When material and convey air are discharged into a silo, it’s crucial to vent the air properly. For dusty materials, this air must be filtered before being released into the atmosphere to comply with EPA regulations and to maintain a clean and safe environment. This is where our advanced baghouse with Pulse Jet Filter becomes indispensable.

How Our System Works:

  1. Material Discharge: When dry bulk material is discharged into a silo, heavier particles settle to the bottom due to gravity.
  2. Air Venting: Fine dust particles, being lighter, tend to rise and move toward the bin vent. Here, the air passes through tubular filter media, which allows the clean air to escape while trapping the dust particles.
  3. Filter Tubes: These filter tubes are elongated and possibly pleated, providing a large surface area for air to pass through while occupying minimal space.
  4. Cleaning Mechanism: The system is equipped with a cleaning mechanism activated by a timer or pressure switch. This mechanism uses high-energy bursts of compressed air (reverse pulse jets) that clean the filter tubes sequentially, dislodging the collected dust back into the storage silo or bin.

Advantages of Our Filters:

  • Industrial-Duty Filters: Built to withstand harsh environments and extended use, our filters are durable and designed for longevity.
  • Easy Maintenance: Our filters are user-friendly, making maintenance and replacement a simple task.
  • Tailored Solutions: US Systems provides robust, long-lasting filter media specifically designed for your material. Additionally, we offer continued support for your system, ensuring easy reordering of filter media when needed.

Bag House Explained:

The term “Bag House” refers to large industrial dust collectors. These systems can contain hundreds of filters and are spacious enough for personnel to enter and perform maintenance. Bag houses are essential for large-scale industrial applications, ensuring efficient dust collection and compliance with environmental regulations.

With US Systems’ advanced dust control solutions, you can ensure optimal EPA compliance and effective dust management. Don’t hesitate to contact us today to discuss how we can assist with your specific needs.

Bin Vent Filter for Silo Dust Control

In addition to standard bin vents and baghouses, we take on special challenges that occur in your environment or with your material. If you have a tough problem such as extreme high or low-temperature conditions, physical space limitation, sticky material, or any other issue that requires an expert solution, give us a call to discuss your needs.

Pulse-Jet Operation is the heart of the automatic self-cleaning system of a US Systems Bin Vent.

Dust that has agglomerated on the exterior filter surface is removed automatically.

The cleaning cycle is controlled by a solid-state timer that progressively energizes the diaphragm valves that pulse high-pressure air into the filter cartridges or bags through a header system located in the clean air plenum.

Holes on the air headers are located over the top of each cart or bag. They direct the bursts of compressed air into the filters, creating a pneumatic shock wave within the filter causing it to flex. The accumulated dust is knocked off the filter and drops into the hopper.
